Guinness World Record

Helen holds the world record for the fastest time to do 100 eskimo rolls in a kayak. This has earned her a place in the Guinness Book Of records! She originally set the record back in 1995,in front of a crowd of 3,000 at the International Canoe Exhibition in London. However, she was contacted by ‘Linfords Record Breakers’ in 1999 to see if she could be tempted to try and break it.

The date was set for August 2nd 2000 and the months of rolling training started! Trained by Mark Bayles she smashed the record by a further 5 seconds, completing 100 rolls in 3 minutes and 42 seconds, says Helen “This was extra special to me...it was at my local David Lloyd pool, in front of my closest friends and family, local children, my favourite D.j Mark Dennison and of course my hero - Linford Christie.

Helen has appeared on numerous TV shows, including ‘Record Breakers’, ‘Don’t Try This At Home!’, ‘They Think Its All Over’, ‘Linfords Record Breakers’, ‘You Bet’, ‘This Morning - with Richard and Judy’ and ‘Test The Nation’.

She is regularly in the local press and on the regional news, along with features in the Womens Fitness magazines. Helen has also been a finalist in the Cosmopolitan Woman of The Year Awards.
